1981
KTM Shipping AS was established in 1981 as Karmøyterminalen, by Kåre Terje Mesøy.
With a foundation in ship and liner agency, the company had its humble beginnings in the small coastal city of Kopervik, Karmøy.
2000
Soon, KTM Shipping further developed by building into other business areas, such as terminal- and forwarding services.
The proximity to the fish market, offshore and energy industries were important to the continued growth of KTM Shipping, and in 2000 the company moved to set up shop at Husøy.
2022
Today, KTM Shipping, through ownership interests in companies such as Karmsund Bulk Terminal AS and Haugesund Stevedoring AS, is one of the key players at, and developers of, Haugesund Cargo Terminals - one of the most advantageous gateways to and from the Norwegian market.
